What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Representative: Forest View Racquet Club position at Arlington Heights Park District?
Join the team at the Park District that is responsible for the control of the front desk at Forest View Racquet Club! The best applicant does not have to know about racquet sports! We are looking for a friendly, outgoing personality, reliable and enjoys a relaxed work environment. The front desk staff is responsible for desk operations, including but not limited to greeting patrons, answering phone calls, checking in members, processing fees, making court reservations, program registration, light cleaning, and troubleshooting issues that may arise when no manager is on duty.
JOB SPECIFIC INFORMATION
This position is a year-round part-time position starting date in April. The District is currently looking for Monday night availability 5 pm-10 pm with the availability to sub.
Minimum age of 18 is required
Many holidays the building is closed or shorted operating hours. Applicants must be able to work weekends and additional shifts and/or sub when needed. Hours may vary.
This position must possess the following qualifications:
- High school graduate or G.E.D
- Must have weekend and night shifts availability
- Ability to work a year-round schedule with a variety of work hours
- CPR (Child and Adult) and First Aid Certification required within 30 days of employment; CPR, AED and First Aid Certification preferred
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- Standing for sustained periods of time while completing work
- Repetitive hand/arm movements such as when working on computer keyboard, calculator, etc.
- Some bending, kneeling and reaching for items off floor and high shelves
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. in paper boxes, racquet club merchandise, storage boxes and other supplies
