The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing resident records, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of medical information, and supporting the overall efficiency of the medical office. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of patient data and facilitating smooth operations within the healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain residents medical records, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Process incoming medical records requests and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding the privacy and security of patient information.
- Assist healthcare providers in accessing necessary medical records for resident care.
- Perform regular audits of medical records to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate the flow of information related to patient care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in health information management is a plus.
- 2 yrs administrative experience is preferred.
- 1 yr medical records experience is required
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in long term care.

Pay: $17.21 - $20.00 per hour
