Arlo is seeking a visionary and technically grounded Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) Lead to enable best-in-class cloud adoption and operational practices across our global engineering teams. This strategic role is responsible for defining and governing cloud best practices, accelerating cloud maturity, and delivering FinOps excellence. Working closely with the SRE, Infrastructure, and Tooling teams, the CCoE Lead ensures engineering teams across the CTO organization can confidently and cost-effectively design, deploy, and operate modern cloud-
native solutions.
The Cloud CoE is responsible for helping teams deploy services that are cost-effective, high- performing, and easy to manage . By setting standards and providing reusable assets, the CoE reduces friction for engineering teams while ensuring Arlo’s cloud footprint remains scalable, secure, and efficient. The Cloud CoE team is not a controlling team; instead, you will be a key enabler of making things easy.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a cloud enablement strategy that promotes secure, scalable, and efficient adoption of cloud services across Arlo.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define and disseminate cloud best practices, emphasizing cost-efficiency, performance optimization, and ease of deployment and management.
Establish reusable patterns, guardrails, and infrastructure blueprints that promote consistency and accelerate service delivery.
Drive cross-functional initiatives with the SRE, Infrastructure, and Tooling teams to implement observability, reliability, and automation frameworks.
Own and lead the FinOps charter for the CTO organization—championing cloud cost awareness, accountability, and optimization practices.
Conduct cloud usage reviews, identify opportunities for performance tuning and cost savings, and work with teams to execute recommendations.
Serve as an internal advocate for cloud education and continuous improvement, providing enablement resources and facilitating knowledge-sharing forums.
Define metrics and KPIs to measure CoE effectiveness, cloud maturity, and financial efficiency; present insights and recommendations to leadership.
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and advise on adoption strategies that align with business goals.

Proven ability to define and evangelize architectural standards, patterns, and guardrails at scale.
Strong leadership and communication skills with experience working cross-functionally across Engineering, Security, Finance, and Executive teams.
Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and cost management tools (e.g., AWS Cost explorer, CloudHealth, CloudZero).
Experience fostering a culture of cloud self-service enablement, education, and
simplification.
Bonus: AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect), FinOps Certified Practitioner, or relevant SRE credentials.
