SUMMARY:
Operate converting machines to produce finished good rolls in accordance with specifications, check for material defects, make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
Roles Responsibilities:
- Operate Converting machines as outlined on shop orders, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Review shop orders and process specifications to determine materials required, quantity and product dimensions, and machine set-up.
General Coating Duties:
- Ability to read shop orders, material part numbers, and weekly product schedule.
- Setup – Align and load material rolls on unwind shaft and thread material through machine according to SOP (Standard Operation Procedures).
- Setup machine parameters as required (tension, gap, pressure, etc.)
- Set counters and record material used and scrapped. Perform checks for material defects, make equipment adjustments as necessary to maintain part quality standards, flag and notify Quality Assurance department of questionable material.
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school education is required
- 6 months of manufacturing experience, preferred
- Must be available to work weekends and overtime, as need
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Ability to interface with other departments and employees.
- Ability to follow written Q.S.P.’s and S.O.P.’s that apply to the job requirement.
- Ability to use rulers and common measuring devises.
- Must be able to operate a hand truck and a forklift.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Experience

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills, in the English language (listening, verbal, written, inter-personal)
- Ability, willingness, and availability to work any day and shift, per business needs.
- Minimum of one year of machine experience.
Pay Transparency
The current pay rate for this position is $20.75/hour. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
