Staff Auditor

Ary Roepcke Mulchaey’s (ARM CPA’s) audit team is seeking a full-time staff auditor to join our growing firm! RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in audit, review and compilation engagements, including all aspects of fieldwork and wrap-up activities
• Work on audits at client locations, primarily in the Central Ohio area, in a team-based environment
• Being proficient in accounting standards to produce clear, well-structured and effective audit documentation
• Gain an understanding of the flow of audit engagements, including substantive testing procedures for each account or classification in the financial statements
• Conduct audit engagements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards
• Perform detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, prepare and adjust workpapers from clients trial balance
• Analyze financial records for variances and provide explanations
• Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters and improvement opportunities to resolve client issues discovered during the audit
• Research accounting issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly motivated with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Excellent time management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment
• Strong organizational skill and attention to detail
• Dedicated to superior client service
• Prior work experience (up to 2 years) as an auditor at a public accounting firm is valued but not required
• Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office software programs along with a foundational understanding of AI concepts with a strong capability to identify problems where AI could be applied.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field
