Job Summary :
The GDC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Gravity Die Casting (GDC) operations ensuring the production of highquality castings while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role involves managing the GDC team coordinating production schedules and liaising with other departments to ensure smooth operations. The GDC Supervisor plays a critical role in continuous improvement efforts and the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operations Management :
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the GDC department.
Supervise and lead the GDC team including Team Leads and operators.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) and emergency procedures.
Ensure that all GDC castings meet the required quality standards.
Oversee the maintenance of GDC equipment and machinery.
Liaise with other departments such as production planning quality control and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
Identify areas for improvement in the GDC processes and implement changes to enhance productivity and quality.
Maintain accurate records of production maintenance and quality activities.
Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by the Plant Manager / Production Manager.
Minimum Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory role .
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Certified fork truck operator and crane operator (or ability to become certified).
Ability to lift and move 4080 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a warm environment.
