Job Description
JOB TITLE : Tube Line Packer
DEPARTMENT : Tube Line
REPORTS TO : Area Manager, Tube Line
POSITION SUMMARY : Responsible for packing tubes into packaging according to customer specifications
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS :
- Assemble boxes, have knowledge of quality issues and how to place tubes in the appropriate boxes, and walk tubes from extruder to take-off
- Read and follow work instructions
- Assist other team members as needed
- Must be able to stand and work at rapid pace for extended periods of time
- Basic computer inputting capabilities for Quality purposes
- Perform other duties or tasks that may be assigned
JOB KNOWLEDGE :
Must be able to differentiate quality issues on tubes using vision and touch and pack tubes into packaging efficiently
EXPERIENCE :
High School diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and do basic math.
CONTACT WITH OTHERS :
Communicate with co-workers throughout the shift as needed
