Position Overview
The Estimator is responsible for compiling accurate and timely sales order quotes and submittal packages that are in line with both external customer specifications and internal Armorock policies. Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to: execution of digital shop drawings in line with technical customer specifications, creation of accurately priced sales quotes, compilation of timely submittal packages and job release emails, submittal package updates and modifications, coordination with external engineers and contractors, and internal coordination with both sales and project managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Service Delivery (80%)
- Create and compile timely bids and submittal packages within a reasonable timeframe, normally less than 48 hours
- Ensure accurate takeoffs for jobs provided by sales
- Understand, research and review all technical specifications and requirements of projects being bid
- Work with 3rd party engineers to complete buoyancy calculations and structural calculations
- Update and revise existing sales orders and submittal packages as necessary
- Coordinate regularly with sales and project managers, managing the end-to-end submittal process when required
Continuous Process Improvement (10%)
- Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and encourage a culture of continuous improvement
- Drive improvements in organizational measurement clarity
Collaboration and Research (10%)
- Collaborate with corporate functions across the board to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented
- Collaborate with data owners/stewards to align on process and data issues
- Respond to questions and act as a liaison between departments
- Respond to questions and follow up on pertinent escalations
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Determines how to operationalize processes in alignment with strategic vision.
- Utilizes technical knowledge to efficiently produce accurate quotes and aid customer satisfaction.
- Uses organizational skills and attention to detail; performs detailed work with speed and accuracy.

Qualifications
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods of sitting 50% of the time using a computer, keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to view computer for extended periods.
- No major lifting required.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of relevant professional experience preferred
- Manufacturing industry background preferred
- Background in Civil engineering, Estimating, or Site Plan Creation preferred but not required
- Experience with digital drafting software preferred
