Vehicle Acquisition Representative

Job Summary:

The Vehicle Acquisition Representative is responsible for sourcing and acquiring vehicles to meet the companys inventory needs. This role involves building strong relationships with sellers, negotiating prices, evaluating vehicle conditions, and ensuring a seamless acquisition process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, a keen understanding of the automotive market, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Sourcing:

    • Identify and source vehicles from various channels, including private sellers, auctions, trade-ins, and fleet accounts.
    • Use market research tools to identify high-demand vehicle models.
  • Evaluation and Appraisal:

    • Inspect vehicles to assess their condition, mileage, and history reports.
    • Determine the market value of vehicles using pricing tools and market data.
  • Negotiation and Acquisition:

    • Negotiate purchase prices to ensure profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
    • Handle all documentation and logistics associated with acquiring vehicles.
  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with individual sellers, dealerships, and fleet accounts.
    • Provide excellent customer service to establish trust and encourage repeat business.
  • Market Analysis:

    • Monitor market trends and inventory demands to make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to align acquisition efforts with inventory goals.
  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure all vehicle acquisitions comply with legal and company standards.
    • Maintain detailed records of transactions and provide regular acquisition reports.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in automotive sales, acquisition, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive market, including vehicle types, brands, and pricing trends.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess vehicle condition and value accurately.
  • Proficiency in using appraisal and pricing tools.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
