The Salary Range for our CNC Machinist 2 job is $ 20.00-$ 25.00 per hour with the job description below :
Summary / Objective : Produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) milling machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Job Responsibilities
- Using blueprint or process sheet, set up jobs and operate one or more of a variety of multi axis CNC milling machines / tools.
- Obtains first piece approval from quality inspection.
- At specified frequencies, uses a variety of hand inspection tools to compare part dimensions with blueprint or process and record data.
- Diagnoses, analyzes and troubleshoots problems.
- Monitor tooling for wear and breakage and replace as necessary.

- Verify counts with job traveler documentation and complete the required reports and records.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters etc.; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Enters instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
- Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting tooling and attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices etc.
- Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing milling, taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Trains CNC Machinist employees as needed.
- Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping.
- Maintains regular on-time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested).
- Performs other tasks as directed including deburring parts and performing other operations during cycle.
Educational, Experience Based, and Skill Qualifications
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk, remain on feet for extended time periods, reach, stoop. Kneel and lift up to an including 35 pounds as needed.
