Activities Director Responsibilities:
The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activities Programs in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility and as directed by Administrator, to ensure that the emotional, recreational, and social needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis.
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activities Programs facility.
- Plan and schedule movies, parties, games, projects, crafts, resources, and field trips for residents at least one month in advance
- Assist bed patients with writing letters, running errands, making appointments, etc.
- Monitor activities to ensure that resident’s emotional, recreational and social needs are met
- Manage personnel

Activities Director Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field or COTA
- At least 2 years of experience in activities or related field
- Valid certification from National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) or eligibility for certification
- Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Management experience preferred
- Proficiency with Windows products
