Job Overview
The Army Installation Management Command is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Child and Youth Services (CYS) Specialist. As a key member of the CYS team, you will be responsible for serving as the school liaison officer with the oversight of all installation CYS issues involving public schools and their relationship to the local military community.
Key Responsibilities
Assess needs and serve as the focal point for gathering and disseminating information concerning the local schools. Work closely with the Youth Education Liaison Services (YELS) Specialist and other CYS staff to successfully integrate CYS initiatives programs with school resources to meet the needs of constituents. Serves as a member of the Installation Child and Youth Evaluation Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and CYS baseline standards.
Requirements
A successful candidate must possess a minimum 4 year college or university degree in a field directly related to child and youth development such as early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, special education, child/youth development, psychology, or youth program administration. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) months work experience in a child/youth or a public school child/youth program.
