CYS Specialist

Job Title: School Liaison Officer (SLO)

This is a challenging role that requires effective communication and collaboration with public schools and the local military community.

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the primary point of contact for CYS issues involving public schools.
• Functions as an intermediary between parents/youth and school administrators.
• Assesses needs and gathers information to disseminate to stakeholders.
• Works closely with the Youth Education Liaison Services Specialist and other CYS staff to integrate initiatives with school resources.
• Serves on the Installation Child and Youth Evaluation Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as early childhood education or child development.
• At least 24 months of experience in a child/youth program or public school setting.
• Program administration experience in child and youth programs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with Army CYS programs.
• Experience working with public, private, or DoDEA schools.
