Job Title: School Liaison Officer (SLO)
This is a challenging role that requires effective communication and collaboration with public schools and the local military community.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as the primary point of contact for CYS issues involving public schools.
- Functions as an intermediary between parents/youth and school administrators.
- Assesses needs and gathers information to disseminate to stakeholders.
- Works closely with the Youth Education Liaison Services Specialist and other CYS staff to integrate initiatives with school resources.
- Serves on the Installation Child and Youth Evaluation Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as early childhood education or child development.
- At least 24 months of experience in a child/youth program or public school setting.
- Program administration experience in child and youth programs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with Army CYS programs.
- Experience working with public, private, or DoDEA schools.
