Job Summary:
The Operations and Training Specialist will be responsible for managing and directing the activities of the Operations and Training Division, including developing long and short-range plans for the development of range facilities and training areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, training development, and range safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops input for the MTA's five-year range development plan, including justifications for construction, programming documents, maps, overlays, and sketches
- Coordinates with user organizations for use of ranges and training facilities
- Reviews and approves schedules to ensure maximum training opportunities
- Conducts surveys of users to assess the adequacy of existing facilities to meet training requirements
Requirements:
- National Guard membership required
- 1 year of specialized experience in operations management, training development, and range safety
- Strong knowledge of administrative procedures and practices of management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
