Title: Equipment Manager
Reports to: Assistant General Manager / Golf Course Superintendent

We have an excellent Toro equipment lease starting in April of 2025 in which an entire fleet of brand-new equipment is rolling in.
General Purpose:
Responsible for a comprehensive preventative maintenance program on all equipment. This program includes all preventative maintenance, repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment, service, and the shop.
Essential Duties:
- Overall cleanliness of shop area.
• All gas tanks, storage, and shop area must be maintained per local, state and federal laws.
• Safety – Must follow all safety and lock out procedures when working on equipment. Maintenance of all fire extinguishers and any basic level safety issues as they pertain to equipment, operation of equipment and maintenance.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment including, diesel, electric and gasoline powered equipment.
• Instructs and /or train golf course maintenance employees regarding proper cleaning and safe operation of equipment.
• Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work in conjunction with the management staff.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program within budget on all equipment.
• Keeps a complete set of records for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment condition, costs of repairs, and preventative maintenance for all equipment.
• Spot check equipment for performance on the course, make emergency repairs to equipment on the course and services or supervise servicing of equipment prior to use.
• Oversee the shop area maintenance.
• Helps regulate employee’s use of equipment in absence of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
Education/Experience:
- Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses.
• Skilled in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools and the making of various types of mechanical repair.
Physical Demands:
Frequently standing, walking, uses of hands and fingers, feel or handle, reaches with hands and arms. Regularly reaches with hands and arms, tastes or smells. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Environment/Noise:
Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate.
Certificates/Licenses:
Driver’s License may be required.
Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences
• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the employee may be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
• Ability to provide high quality cutting units that is required for producing championship playing surfaces.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer skills are required for electronic communication, research, and record keeping.
- Perform a variety of tasks within the department, adhering to daily production standards.

Compensation and Benefits:
- $75,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
