Steward Functions:
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, glassware, and kitchen utensils. Hand-wash delicate items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, counters, and equipment. Ensure that garbage and recycling are properly disposed of according to club guidelines.
- Regularly check and clean kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, and refrigerators to ensure they are in good working order.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies and deliveries. Ensure that storage areas are clean and organized.
- Support: Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of chemicals, and ensure compliance with club policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous experience as a steward, dishwasher, or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate dishwashing machinery and perform basic food preparation tasks. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and perform tasks that require bending, reaching, and manual dexterity.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
