The Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that all food service operations run smoothly. Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team, ensuring timely service during busy periods.
- Support banquet operations by setting up and breaking down dining areas as needed.
- Help with the organization of kitchen supplies, ensuring that all items are stored properly and readily accessible.
- Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during meal service.
- Clean dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items using appropriate cleaning methods.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous setting is preferred but not required.
