What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Aroplax Corporation?
Overview: Responsible for supporting and improving all aspects of existing and developing manufacturing processes, methods and controls in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics Engineering or related Engineering discipline
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (can include intern/co-op experience)
- Prefer injection molding processing/automation experience
- Prefer advanced process training (Scientific Molding Theory)
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, SolidWorks & Minitab
Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, parts, process, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, as well as quality control standards.
- Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Coordinate manufacturing processes, problem resolution and employee training.
- Consult with project and tooling staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production and processing methods.
- Confer with vendors to determine product specifications to arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, tools or parts.
- Establish procedures for all technical staff on manufacturing methods and ensure accurate recorded documentation. Analyze recorded values to gauge the quality and success of procedures and recording methods.
- Confer with management and other departments as needed regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Apply statistical and cost analysis to meter production and processing methods to determine optimal parameters/system configurations to maximize efficiency and quality while reducing costs.
- Seek opportunities for formal and informal training of technical staff in all aspects of manufacturing/production/quality.
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
