Salary: $45,000.00

Main Purpose of Job

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for assisting in sourcing goods and services for the company while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. This role involves supporting procurement activities, including gathering and organizing supplier information, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring accurate documentation. The Procurement Specialist will serve as a point of contact for suppliers, assisting in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring smooth procurement operations.

Responsibilities for Procurement Specialist

• Assist in identifying and evaluating suppliers of goods and services
• Support negotiations on pricing, terms, and quality expectations under the guidance of senior procurement staff
• Prepare purchase orders and track supply requests to ensure timely fulfillment
• Review and organize supplier quotes, proposals, and purchase agreements for management approval
• Verify accuracy of invoices and purchase orders
• Monitor inventory levels and notify the procurement team of supply needs
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and provide support in fulfilling them

Qualifications for Procurement Specialist

• Minimum of one year of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Basic understanding of procurement principles and supplier management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
