Configuration Specialist
Job Summary
We seek professionals with product configuration management experience to join our growing team. The Configuration Manager will support the execution and management of engineering change requests to include all related duties. The successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to meet the qualifications required to perform this job successfully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement configuration management plans, policies, and procedures
- Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of configuration items
- Active participation in procedure to integrate configuration variables into the master database for all parts
- Manage changes to configuration plan and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with engineering, system and apps engineering, quality, and supply chain
- Maintain and manage tools and documentation used for configuration management, ensuring all product documents are up-to-date
- Work with Product Management in implementing configuration management through product lifecycle
- Utilize the following software: Salesforce, SolidWorks PDM, InfoCapture, Google Data Studio, SAP, Microsoft Office suite
- Interface with the following software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks,
- Evaluate configuration system and changes and the impact on product and other company procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 3 years experience in configuration management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- 3 years experience Microsoft Office suite of software
- 2 years ERP/MRP or PLM software experience
- Experience with hardware, components, assemblies, and system builds
- Certification in Configuration management (e.g., CMI) is a plus
- Experience using Salesforce
- Experience using a PLM system (e.g., Enovia, Teamcenter, Windchill)
- 1 years experience with checking and reviewing drawings
- Ability to work across multiple teams.
- Work with minimal direction and guidance
- 1 year SAP software experience
