Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Telemetry team in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for providing specialized care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. This is a contract position with flexible shift options and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform regular assessments of patients’ cardiac and overall health status.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond promptly to changes in patients’ conditions and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Educate patients and families about managing cardiac conditions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered RN license in the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Telemetry or a similar acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
