About this Position:
Responsible for overseeing review of the Company’s consumer and commercial loans for quality, accuracy and regulation compliance. Implement the Board-approved Loan Review Program. Initiate strategies to achieve goals established for the department.
Responsibilities:
> Provide assessment of loan condition and quality, independent of the lending function.
> Maintain thorough working knowledge of Company’s lending policies and procedures and identify deviations from policy; analyze credit and financial information to verify credit-worthiness of borrowers falls within assigned risk ratings.
> Review loan documentation, risk ratings and risk rating requests, bank loan arrangements, credit authorizations involving lines of credit, commitments and term arrangements reported by all lending units and credit functions.
> Coordinate monthly required quality control reviews for residential mortgages with the outside auditing firm to ensure completeness.
> Evaluate and provide input on the adequacy of Allowance for Expected Credit Losses.
> Assess larger credits periodically to detect and report on potentially deteriorating situations.
> Review past due and criticized loan reports, examination reports and other sources of information for possible downgrading of deteriorating situations.
> Cooperate with, participate in, and support adherence to all regulations, internal policies, practices and internal controls promoting risk management and overall safety and soundness of Company.
> Manage, coach and counsel staff to meet department goals and achieve performance standards; encourage continuous improvement for career development.
> Participate actively in Community Service as designated by Community Service Requirements.
What you will need to thrive in this role:
Education/Certifications:
> Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
> 6 years Loan Review and/or credit risk management-related experience required
Skills/Knowledge:
> Proven leadership qualities and presentation skills
> Strong communications skills, both written and verbal; comfortable communicating with customers, co-workers and management
> Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines
> Sound business judgment and ability to think independently; flexible and willingness to adapt
> Proficient in Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Demands:
> Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.
> Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.
> Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs.

The pay range for this position is $62,500-$90,000 annually commensurate with experience and education.
Additional compensation may be earned through the Company’s annual bonus and incentive programs, subject to individual and company performance.
