Arrow Consulting is working with an outpatient substance use provider in Richmond, Virginia and we are seeking a Part Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide services for their treatment program. The program provides PHP, IOP, and OP services to adults (18 ).
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner collaboratively engages in client assessment and diagnosis, medication prescription, and overall treatment planning in an outpatient substance use treatment setting. This role is crucial for the formulation and execution of treatment strategies that include ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and ensuring thorough documentation and client education. The practitioner also potentially extends their care by offering primary medical services as regulated.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Duties:
- Provides medical services
- Conducting psychiatric evaluations to determine mental health needs
- Prescribing and monitoring medications
- Collaborating with clinical teams to implement comprehensive treatment plans
- Responsible for providing essential education to clients and their families about substance use, mental health and medication management,
- Maintaining meticulous client records in the EHR system
- Discussing lab test results with patients.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
- Education: Masters of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure: Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Five (5) years of experience required to ensure independent practice.
- Experience related to start up substance use treatment services.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations.
Salary : $90 - $125
