Residential Estimator

Summary: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Residential & Multi-Family Glazing Estimator to be responsible for reviewing blueprints, specifications and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates on construction projects. Commercial Glazing Estimator Responsibilities:

• Perform takeoffs using glass and glazing information on prints and specifications.

• Must be able to interpret blueprints and/or drawings.

• Knowledge of residential and multi-family glazing work will be required in order to perform accurate quotes.

• Create budgets for projects by getting quotes on materials and figuring labor cost

• Prepare proposals for customers looking for pricing on new glass, glazing projects and remodel work.

• Maintain a change order log and keep up with budgets for several projects at the same time.

• Be able to multitask all functions above in a moment's notice. Commercial Glazing Estimator Qualifications/Skills:

• General construction knowledge is plus

• Experience using GDS, LogiKal and other estimating software.

• Analyzing blueprints, accurate measurement and calculations on shop drawings/measure sheets.

• Ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, or through written formats.

• Ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner.

• Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Able to work independently and within a team

Education

• Preferred: Associated Degree in Business Administration

• Minimum: HS Diploma, GED with 2 years’ experience in similar field.

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Schedule: Mon-Fri (7am-4pm)
