The Opportunity: Field Service Technician
We're seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to become a key player in our team. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines, ensuring our cutting-edge POS systems and related equipment are operating at their best—directly impacting our customers’ success.
What You'll Do:
- On-Site Expertise: Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair state-of-the-art POS systems and peripherals.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Customer Empowerment: Provide hands-on training and technical support, ensuring clients fully leverage our advanced systems.
- Precision Service: Interpret technical schematics and use diagnostic tools to deliver accurate, efficient repairs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our technical support team, escalating and resolving complex challenges as needed.
- Documentation Excellence: Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, and technical insights for continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience & Expertise:
- 3 years managing Windows systems (7/10/11), including image deployment.
- Proven history of creating clear, concise technical documentation for both peers and users.
- Strong background in small office networking—wired, wireless, routers, and DHCP.
- Field Service Pro: Prior experience in a Field Service Technician role or similar position.
- Leadership & Customer Focus: Ability to manage temporary contractors and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Technical Prowess:
- Sharp troubleshooting skills across computer systems, software, networking, and hardware.
- Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and repairing diverse equipment.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Bonus Points:
- Experience with point of sale (POS) systems and peripherals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft MySQL.
