Our client is a leading developer and manufacturer of private label skin care products. The Controller will be a key player in building out controls and structure within the accounting and finance function of the firm.
Responsibilities
- Build out and maintain a month end close process
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Oversee the AR, AP, and Invoice Clerks to create accurate financials
- Preparation of journal entries
- Monitor all inventory control functions
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs from the bottom up and investigating discrepancies
- Develop and automate reporting functionalities and make recommendations for process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 7-12 years of relevant accounting and finance experience
- Experience with cost accounting/manufacturing a must
- Knowledge of GAAP principles
- Advanced Excel skills
