The Equity Compensation Accountant will participate in the accounting and finance processes and monitoring of controls over the internal and external financial reporting for the firm.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly compensation footnotes for 10-Q/10-K filings and assist the SEC reporting team with any related compensation disclosures
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly close process
- Perform monthly balance sheet substantiation, evaluate adequacy of expense accruals, resolving issues, and escalate key items to management timely
- Responsible for interacting with internal and external auditors on a regular basis
- Coordinate with other departments firmwide as well as with global regional finance teams to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis of segment/entity compensation information
- Assist the regulatory reporting team with monthly and quarterly broker dealer report analytics when required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred
- 4-5 years in an accounting role with compensation experience
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced analytical Excel capabilities and project management skills
