Our client is a private investment firm hiring a Senior Accountant to join their team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for all accounting-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain books and records, process various investment-related transactions in Advent Geneva accounting system
- Prepare partner allocations for various entities in Geneva World Investor and Excel
- Reviewing daily P/L, exposure, and valuation reporting
- Reconcile daily cash balances and be responsible for cash movements
- Reconcile receivables/payables
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly valuation testing schedules
- Prepare quarterly investor statements
- Perform Monthly and Quarterly close, including the closing of trial balances, and preparation of supporting documentation for internal investment portfolios
- Review offering documents, including fund marketing materials
- Prepare and review year-end US GAAP financials
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, or a mix of public accounting and
- Fund administration experience with a focus on hedge fund or hedge fund/private equity preferred
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with accounting portfolio systems; i.e., Advent Geneva and World Investor preferred
- CPA is a plus
