Our client is an investment adviser with over $20 billion in AUM focused on investing in global credit and special situations. The Tax Manager will manage and review the management company, GP, and principal owned investment partnerships’ tax compliance work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly tax projections for principal owned co-investment vehicles
- Review book-to-tax adjustments, tax allocations, quarterly income tax estimates, and annual US and foreign income tax returns
- Manage internal and external tax deliverable deadlines
- Track principal’s current year and cumulative book-to-tax differences for the management company and GP entities
- Calculate GP member’s estimated taxable income and summarize taxable partner compensation including tax distributions
- Ensure all foreign subsidiary quarterly/annual income tax filings are completed
- Liaison with family office and principal designated personnel for GP related tax inquiries
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6-12 years of tax experience in public accounting and private management company entities
- Financial services experience required
- CPA preferred
- Project management and tax research skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Excel and comfortable with systems and technology
