Forklift Operator- Neptune, NJ

The Warehouse Tech is responsible for maintaining a neat, organized, and accurate warehouse throughout their shift. Their primary objective is to move products and raw materials between the warehouses and the production floor, and to do so all while keeping themselves safe, and products 100% free from ANY sort of damage/denting/ripping. The Warehouse Tech will also provide backup services to the Shipping and Receiving team, occasionally loading and unloading trucks as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities; other duties may be assigned.
- Check schedule for startups/changeovers and ensure that all raw materials are brought to the Pull Staging area well in advance of machine startups. Constant communication with the Supervisor is required.
- Continuously monitor the Pull Staging report and the Pull Staging area to ensure that all required materials have been safely scanned and moved from the Warehouse to the Pull Staging area on the production floor. When bringing materials, it is imperative to make sure that they are clean and that no dust/dirt/debris is being moved from the warehouse to the production floor.
- Monitor all of the lanes in the warehouse and work to consolidate and organize; Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to execute plans for organization and space saving.
- Double check all pallets, gaylords and boxes for accuracy; do not trust labels and always make sure that we are checking that what the label says, matches with what we actually have (both item and quantity accuracy)
- Daily housekeeping and operating to GMP standards.
- Assist with line clearances as required by the Line Clearance process.
- Constantly query items to ensure they are in the right place; if they aren’t, immediately scan them to their accurate location.
- Perform pre-shift inspections DAILY of assigned forklift, immediately alert Warehouse Supervisor of any damage or issues, and properly document.
- Perform cycle counts as requested.
- Monitor the Warehouse FG Matrix to ensure that all products are being warehoused in the correct lane(s) on a FIFO basis.
Education, Certifications and Licensure
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certified
Minimum Technical Skills and Experience
- Ability to use a Barcode Scanner
- Ability to use a pallet jack.
- Ability to read/write and communicate via email and other electronic services.
- Must be forklift certified and be able to pass company forklift training.
