Description
The Body Shop Estimator is responsible for being the liaison between insurance companies, customer, and manager to ensure proper repaid are conducted while providing work-class customer service.
The Body Shop Estimator is supervised by the Body Shop Director.
Essential Functions and Duties
· Communicate with insurance companies to get supplement approvals and payments sent directly to the body shop throughout the repair process.
· Communicate with customer as repair milestones are being completed
· Complete OEM training within 6 months of employment
· Conduct final quality checks while verifying estimate line-by-line
· Prepare estimates in accordance to manufacturers specifications and provide repair procedure to assigned technicians.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
· Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
· Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies. Belts worn on trousers to be of no buckle design to avoid scratching paint on customer’s vehicles.
· Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
· Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
· Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean.
Requirements
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Time Management – ability to manage one’s own time
· At least 2 years of estimating experience in luxury automotive market
· Detail oriented with the ability to think outside the box.
· Strong verbal and written communication
· CCC One Experience
· I-Car Certified

MINIMUM Hiring Requirements
· High school graduate or equivalent
· 18 years or older
· Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
· A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
