What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Assistant position at Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency?
Vocational degree in construction trades or commensurate education and experience. Demonstrated supervisory experience, knowledge of applicable federal, state and local codes, regulations and safety requirements Lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Frequently stand/walk, bends, stoops, and climbs stairs and ladders as necessary. Computer literate. Valid driver’s license and current D.O.T. medical card required to operate agency vehicles. Authorized background check and driving record check required per agency policy.

- Assists in coordinating and performing the repair, maintenance, renovation and cleaning of Agency buildings/ grounds and systems.
- Assists in processing work requests for buildings/grounds and confers with Facilities Manager, users and others on complaints and requests.
- Completes assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assists the Facilities Manager with coordination of equipment orders, supplies and inventory maintenance.
- Assists the Facilities Manager in routine building/grounds inspections and security.
- Maintains and promotes safety in the workplace.
- Operates and schedules vehicle maintenance for the Corporate vehicles.
- Ensures required reports, assessments, logs and checklists are current, accurate and completed in accordance with policies and associated regulations.
- Assists in training, evaluation and supervision of maintenance/janitorial staff.
- Perform duties assigned in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
