We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This critical role supports both the Vice President of Human Resources and the Payroll and Benefits Manager, overseeing day-to-day payroll operations and HR administration.

Your Responsibilities:
- Support payroll processing by entering and maintaining employee data, including compensation, hours worked, leave, deductions, and more.
- Assist in the calculation and remittance of federal, state, and local payroll taxes, while ensuring data accuracy and preparing reports as needed.
- Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements, ensuring consistency with benefit activity.
- Manage health and welfare plan communications, including employee enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Conduct monthly reviews of employee information, troubleshoot discrepancies, and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Run custom payroll reports and assist with the administration of employee leave and onboarding processes.
- Support the talent acquisition process, including job postings, interview coordination, and employee training initiatives using UKG.
- Help implement and manage employee wellbeing, safety, and recognition programs.
- Perform other HR and payroll-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of payroll and HR administration experience.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG experience is a plus).
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a bonus.
- Strong ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional math and problem-solving abilities.
- A keen eye for detail and precision.
- A customer service mindset with a collaborative attitude.
