The Training and Development Specialist will design, develop, and implement a comprehensive training curriculum for our sales, processing, and operations teams. This individual will take a hands-on approach to architecting and structuring the program, creating engaging learning modules (audio, video, and static), and ensuring seamless execution. They will work closely with internal stakeholders to align training programs with business goals and performance metrics while leveraging their curriculum development, project management, and instructional design expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
- Design and develop a comprehensive training curriculum for sales and processing teams, including onboarding programs, skills development, and continuous learning initiatives.
- Create and deliver training materials, including interactive videos, audio content, presentations, and static documents.
- Establish training objectives and measurable outcomes that align with organizational goals.
Instructional Design:
- Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and impactful training experiences.
- Incorporate adult learning theories, gamification, and technology-driven solutions into training materials.
- Ensure training content is tailored to various learning styles and accessible to all team members.
Project Management:
- Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of training programs, including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder coordination.
- Oversee creating and managing a learning management system (LMS) or equivalent platform for delivery and tracking.
- Collaborate with department leads to identify training needs and prioritize projects.
Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Develop assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and measure employee progress.
- Analyze feedback and performance metrics to improve training materials and delivery methods continuously.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into training programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience in training program development, instructional design, or corporate training, preferably in sales and operations environments.
- Proven ability to rapidly produce high-quality training materials, including interactive videos, audio content, presentations, and supporting documents.
- Exceptional project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering multimedia training materials (audio, video, eLearning, and static content).
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and performance evaluation methodologies.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in change management and fostering a culture of learning within organizations is a plus.
- Must be able and willing to travel to Grand Rapids, MN as needed.
