Human Resource role specializing in Workers Compensation, Leave of Absence, and DOT
Pay is $50-$55k
Responsibilities
Collaborate with TPAs and legal counsel to manage and resolve workers’ compensation and liability claims.
Guide employees through FMLA, LOA, and ADA processes, including eligibility, paperwork, approval, and return-to-work coordination.
Maintain organized, paperless records of all FMLA, LOA, and ADA-related documents.
Provide confidential updates on FMLA, MVAs, workers’ comp claims, and ADA accommodations to management.
Coordinate DOT medical exams, testing (random, post-accident, suspicion-based), and motor vehicle reports for drivers.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or at least 3 years of related work experience in the Human Resources or Risk Management fields.
A working knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (preferably Paychex).
Well-developed analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees, management, and the public.
Excellent organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
High levels of personal integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to infrequently travel to other facilities as needed.
Ability to legally work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license.
