Job Title: Recruitment Specialist 
 
Home Office: Vienna, IL or hybrid 
 
Area of Focus/Department: Administrative/Human Resources
 
Immediate Supervisor: Sr. Administrative Director of Recruitment & Retention 
 
Supervises: None
 
Hours of Work: Full-time, 40 hours/week
 
Recruitment Specialist Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is preferred.
 
Recruitment Specialist Skills and Knowledge: Ability to speak to others in order to convey information clearly and effectively; ability to understand and persuade others; knowledge of local health and human services resources; excellent active listening skills; excellent written, oral, visual, non-verbal communication skills; excellent technology skills and ability to learn and navigate various social media and digital design platforms. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members; excellent organizational skills; thorough understanding of EEO, ADA, and other related employment laws and guidelines; skilled in event planning and coordination; excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines as assigned.
 
Recruitment Specialist Special Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or older to drive agency vehicle; maintains a valid driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance; maintain First Aid & CPR certification; must complete required registry clearances and criminal fingerprint background checks; travel to all agency sites when appropriate.
 
Recruitment Specialist job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Actively builds a talent pool/network for assigned functional or geographical areas to enhance the efficiency of applicant generation.
  • Research and targets new and diverse talent pools to engage and build a pipeline of talent.
  • Screen qualified candidates by leveraging job boards, referrals, search engines, and other creative headhunting techniques.
  • Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection process.
  • Completes all initial documentation and pre-employment paperwork prior to new hires start date as needed. 
  • Assists in developing a recruitment plan along with Talent Sourcing Specialist.
  • Assists in planning monthly recruitment activities.
  • Attend job fairs as needed.
  • Continually evaluates recruitment strategies, initiatives, events, and engagement techniques.
  • Ensures and documents that recruiting activities support affirmative action plan.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand the needs of the organization and help develop a recruitment strategy to support current hiring needs and future growth that align with the organization’s culture, mission, values, and goals.
  • Coordinates interviews and serves as a stand-in during interviews when hiring managers are not available.
 
Salary Range: $37,620 - $60,405
*This is a management position.
