Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Tester to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of proven experience in performance testing and performance engineering, with deep hands-on expertise in tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, and Blazemeter. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design, execute, and analyze performance tests for large-scale, complex systems while also contributing to performance tuning and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop performance testing strategies, test plans, and test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, and Blazemeter.
- Execute various types of performance tests including load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests.
- Analyze test results to identify bottlenecks and performance issues across system components (application, database, infrastructure).
- Work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and tune performance issues.
- Contribute to performance engineering practices including profiling, monitoring, and resource optimization.
- Create detailed performance test reports and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assist in capacity planning, environment sizing, and benchmarking.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior performance testers and QA engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner, Apache JMeter, and Blazemeter.
- Proficiency in analyzing system performance using APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and infrastructure components.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests into build cycles.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
