Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deck Bar Supervisor to join our team for the season. In this leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of the deck bar, ensuring smooth service, high-quality guest experiences, and adherence to health and safety regulations. As a key team leader, you will inspire and guide staff to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a fun and vibrant atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of the deck bar's daily operations, including staff scheduling and task assignments.
- Train, mentor, and motivate bar and service staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages or waste.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless coordination and timely service.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and food to meet quality standards.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies.
- Analyze sales performance and suggest ways to optimize revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Organize team meetings to share updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a bar, restaurant, or similar environment is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly.
- Knowledge of bar operations, mixology, and inventory management.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season.
- Certification in food safety and/or responsible alcohol service is an advantage.
