Position Title: Night Auditor

Job Summary:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing all night-time operations of the resort, ensuring smooth and efficient guest service, managing financial transactions, and maintaining the resort's security. This position combines front desk duties with accounting responsibilities, ensuring that financial reports are accurate and up to date, while also providing excellent service to guests during the overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and general inquiries during night hours.
- Address guest concerns and resolve any issues that arise overnight.
- Provide assistance with guest requests, including room changes, additional amenities, and special requests.
- Ensure guests feel safe and comfortable during their stay.
- Nightly Auditing & Financial Reporting:
- Perform nightly audits of all financial transactions, ensuring that all charges are correct and balanced.
- Verify all postings to guest folios and review all departmental charges.
- Prepare daily reports of revenue, occupancy, and other key metrics for the management team.
- Ensure that the resort's financial procedures are followed, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Security & Safety:
- Ensure the safety and security of the resort and guests during night hours.
- Conduct regular security checks of the property, including entrances, exits, and emergency exits.
- Report any security or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel or management.
- Communication:
- Maintain clear communication with the daytime management team regarding any issues or updates.
- Communicate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage) to ensure smooth operations during the night.
- Record Keeping:
- Update and maintain accurate records of guest transactions and reports for auditing purposes.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial and guest-related information.
- Other Duties:
- Assist with opening or closing the front desk area, including balancing the cash drawer and locking up.
- Assist with any other administrative or operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
- Previous experience in front desk or hotel operations, preferably in a resort environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Basic knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- Indoor office and lobby setting.
- Night shift hours, typically 11 PM - 7 AM.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
