Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, mitigating, and restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, or other damages. The ideal candidate will have experience in restoration work, be comfortable working in high-pressure situations, and have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water, fire, mold, and other property damages.
- Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleanup.
- Set up and operate specialized equipment, such as air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA filters.
- Document the mitigation process, including photos, notes, and moisture readings, using software tools.
- Conduct demolition work as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in packing, inventorying, and storing clients' personal belongings.
- Monitor job sites daily to ensure progress aligns with timelines.
- Maintain equipment, keeping it clean and in working order.
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, clients, and team members to ensure expectations are met.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company procedures.
Requirements:
- 1 years of experience in mitigation, restoration, or related fields (preferred but not required; training available).
- Knowledge of restoration techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
- Availability for on-call shifts and occasional overtime as emergencies require.
- IICRC certifications in water or fire restoration (preferred but not required).
