IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring employees have the tools they need to work efficiently. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their IT career, with a strong interest in hardware setup, software troubleshooting, and user support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare and configure MacBooks for new hires, ensuring all necessary software and security settings are installed.
· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to MacBooks, peripherals, and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
· Provide first-line IT support for employees, resolving common technical issues and escalating complex problems as needed.
· Assist with user account setup and management in Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
· Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including laptops, accessories, and software licenses.
· Help ensure device security and compliance by installing updates, managing access controls, and following IT policies.
· Support employees remotely and in person with technical questions and troubleshooting.
· Document common technical issues and solutions to improve efficiency in handling future support requests.
· Assist with network troubleshooting, printer setup, and basic IT infrastructure tasks.
· Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
· 1 years of IT support experience or relevant coursework in IT-related fields.
· Familiarity with macOS and Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
· Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
· Basic understanding of IT security best practices (password management, multi-factor authentication, device encryption).
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills for interacting with employees at all technical skill levels.
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with device imaging and configuration is a plus.
· A Certification or similar IT credential is a plus but not required.
