Position Overview:
Experienced HR Specialist would be responsible for managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle within a company, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, employee benefits, performance management, aspects of payroll processing, policy enforcement, training and development, managing Worker’s Comp claims, mediating conflict resolutions, and maintaining employee records, all while ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, a professional demeanor and ability to work efficiently in a challenging work environment. The company encourages creative problem-solving empowering all to further refine and deepen their knowledge.
Candidate will work in Glastonbury, CT Office traveling to Sister companies as follows. Monthly visits to Art Crating, Inc., Brooklyn, NY and Archive Fine Art, Inc., Saugerties, NY. A week visit, several times a year to ACLA, LLC, Los Angeles, CA . Zoom meetings will be essential in maintaining a fluency among all the companies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Manage employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company.
- Support talent management initiatives, including succession planning and performance management processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and perform data entry tasks related to human capital management.
- Administer and communicate employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Utilize HR software systems such as File-maker, Payroll, UltiPro and PeopleSoft for tracking employee information and generating reports.
- Facilitate conflict management processes by providing support to employees and managers.
- Colaborate with Managers when hiring, promoting the company’s culture and job openings.
- Collaborate with team members on change management strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Experience
Candidates must have 3-10 years of experience in HR. A combined BA and SHRM Certified is a must or comparable formal HR training and Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree. The company works on a Mac-based platform and familiarity with FileMaker Pro, Word, Excel, and is expected. Additionally HR software such as Payroll Platform, UltiPro or PeopleSoft is a plus.(Photoshop experience would be beneficial.)

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
