Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Process insurance claims and verify coverage for patients
- Assist with billing and payment collection
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
