Coordinator of Program Operations
Art with a Heart, Inc. (AWAH) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art.
The role of the Coordinator of Program Operations is to ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of the various AWAH out of school time programs while supporting the work of the Program Directors and reporting to the Program Directors.
This is a growth-oriented position designed to provide mentorship and professional development. The Program Directors aim to support this individual's growth and advancement within the company.
The Coordinator of Program Operations should have the following professional qualifications and personal characteristics:

- Bachelor's degree with a background in visual art or early education preferred.
- One year experience working in a classroom setting or childcare setting required.
- Outstanding project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional people skills include relationship building, listening, mentoring, managing, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a complex environment with multiple priorities.

- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds comfortably.

- Operations Coordinator must have reliable transportation to travel to OST sites in Baltimore. Ensuring all sites have supplies when necessary.
- Must be able to work a Monday through Thursday 10:00-6:00pm and Friday 10:00 - 2:00 schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
Program Support
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programming projects and curriculum.
- Help prepare and construct lesson plans to accurately reflect either one or several of the educational goals on the evaluation form: Art Technique, Art History, Culture, History, Language Arts, Math, or Science.
- Help to ensure each site has a thorough project lesson plan, lesson description, all necessary materials and project sample for each project.
- Maintain and implement evaluation database, project description filing system, storage of sample projects and material prep.
- Help staff during resource fairs and networking events to promote the organization and meet potential partners.
- Help to ensure AWAH activities operate within the standards of the organization; guarantee strict compliance with all relevant professional standards and educational goals.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of out of school time program lesson inventory and college interns in the programming branch.
- Provide general support to all branches of the organization as needed.
Administrative Support
- Maintain the weekly list of lesson plans that are to be prepared, and packed for art classes.
- Coordinate material pick-up schedules and any changes with teachers.
- Work in tandem with the Program Coordinator and Community Service and Volunteer Coordinator to maintain the weekly list of materials that need to be prepared by interns or volunteers.
- Maintain lesson plan filing system, art supply closets, templates and storage of sample projects.
- Work with the Education Coordinator to process monthly supply requests for all sites, and place orders after analyzing current inventory and price comparisons. Track long-term supply request patterns and needs of each classroom.
- Manage the care and maintenance of supplies and storage rooms, while keeping an overall inventory of available supplies.
- When appropriate, ensure programming space is presentable and organized.
- General data entry, as needed.
