What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mainframe Developer position at Artech LLC?
Job Title : Mainframe Developer
Location : Remote
Duration : 12 months Contract (with possible extension)
Mainframe developer / support specialists with experience in COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, Ezytrieve, Assembler is a plus
The individual will support the following applications :
1. CKP (Check Processing)
- This is a home-grown batch application that process incoming checks from various exchange entities (Fed, other banks, paper etc) via our vendor FIS. FIS collects image cash letters (ICLs) and distribute them to UMB. The CKP application process these ICLs throughout the day and distribute them to our internal applications, create GLs, and provide reports / alerts for balancing.
- IBP (Investor Banking Platform)
This is a home-grown batch application that process our Institutional Checks, ACH, Debit Cards, and Billpay transactions. IBP collects all 4 payment types from other UMB applications and store them in db2. Transactions are processed and extracted based on client settings. Files are created for clients and downstream applications for memo post, payee keying, fraud detection, and posting to Hogan and PeopleSoft.
The IMG application creates image request files for FIS to pull images and creates x937 image files. The image files are sent back to IMG application to distribute to UMB clients.
DDR is a batch application that takes output from Hogan and creates prior-day balance files for clients in BAI2 format. The application has some assembler and ezytrieve programs.
