Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a comprehensive review of general ledger accounts, financial statements, and historical data to identify and correct discrepancies.
Clean up and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and accruals.
Assist with reclassification of transactions and standardization of chart of accounts to align with industry best practices.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported.
Review and streamline month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
Collaborate with finance and operations teams across multiple hospitality entities or locations to gather missing documentation and clarify transaction details.
Support audit preparation by organizing and verifying financial records and documentation.
Provide recommendations on process improvements and internal controls for long-term financial accuracy and transparency.
Train internal staff on updated procedures and assist in documentation of new workflows and policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the hospitality or service industry.
Proven track record managing or supporting accounting clean-up projects.
Proficient in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
