Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Manager will lead our AP team in managing and processing invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies, and working closely with internal departments and vendors to maintain accurate records and prompt payments. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a strong background in accounting, and proven experience in managing and mentoring AP teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, processing, and payment
- Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Reconcile AP records and collaborate with the accounting team for month-end close
- Manage vendor relationships, resolve discrepancies, and negotiate payment terms as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, streamline workflow, and reduce errors
- Develop and monitor KPIs for the AP department and report performance metrics to leadership
- Support audit processes by providing AP documentation and explanations as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset
