PHC Technician
Location: Columbia MO
Compensation: $20-28 DOE
Resource Tree and Land in Columbia, Missouri is looking to hire a Plant Health Care Technician who is capable of and passionate about learning, diagnosing, and treating tree health issues in central Missouri. This individual will diagnose treeissues while on the job site, apply tree treatments, and be able to communicate professionally with customers. Candidate requirements and pay:
- Willingness to learn from and collaborate with the operations manager Philip King, 23 years experiencein the field and a Board Certified Master Arborist.
- Must be able to bend, twist, crawl and lift at least 50lbs.
- Must have or acquire and maintain a commercial driver’s license.
- Missouri Dept. of Agriculture Qualified applicators license is preferred. For the right applicant we can help you attain one.
- Knowledge of industry standard practices, PPE and safety standards are a plus and will be a requirement.
- Knowledge of safe operation of industry specific equipment: spraying systems and their calibration, spray guns, probes, etc. is required.
- Knowledge of pests and products specific to our service area is a plus, however we will provide some on the job training for the right candidate.
- The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- I.S.A. certifications: Certified Arborist is a plus and will be a future requirement.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years industry experience.
- Pay is dependent on experience and certifications which all will need to be verified with a past employer, trade organization, training company or combination.
- $20-28/hr. This is a year round, full time position.
This position may occasionally require the employee to assist with the transportation and planting of trees with our nursery division. Resource Tree and Land is now a division of Arthur Ratliff Tree and Stump. They deal with tree trimming, removal, land clearing and also have an excavation division.
