Our Client is seeking an Art Director to lead the design ideation, layout, and execution of multimedia content across a growing portfolio of print and digital publications within a dynamic media environment.
You Will:
- Lead the execution and ideation of page layouts and covers for multiple magazine publications, working closely with stakeholders on advertising operations and production processes
- Design and execute both print and digital publications, including event-driven materials, ensuring high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
- Assist with digital media content creation, including news stories, digital features, and long-form content across digital platforms, optimizing for engagement and usability
- Manage and direct in-house and freelance designers, photographers, videographers, and illustrators as needed
- Support cross-departmental design efforts, contributing to marketing, subscription campaigns, and other visual communication needs
- Ensure alignment of visual outputs with brand guidelines, organizational goals, and strategic initiatives
- Implement efficient workflows for production cycles while managing multiple publications with overlapping deadlines
- Collaborate with internal design resources to advance design innovation and excellence across the organization
- Oversee production and advertising placements in partnership with advertising and production teams
You Have:
- Expertise in typography, layout composition, and editorial design best practices for both print and digital publications
- Familiarity with designing and laying out engaging digital magazine experiences optimized for mobile, web, and interactive content
- Strong ability to visually organize and communicate information effectively
- Minimum three years of hands-on experience with content-based design across print and digital platforms
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Understanding of emerging trends and technologies, including Generative AI, with a commitment to continuous learning
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced media environment and across multiple departments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal stakeholders under tight deadlines
