Landscape Construction Estimator
We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate estimation of costs for construction projects from start to finish. This role is pivotal in helping our company make informed decisions, bid competitively, and ensure profitability.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project scope.
Perform site analysis to understand potential challenges and opportunities.
Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather all necessary information to support estimate accuracy.
Attend pre-bid meetings with clients and contractors to clarify project specifications and requirements.
Utilize estimating software to enhance the speed and accuracy of project quotes.
Maintain a current database of industry costs and material prices.
Present estimates to management.
Monitor project progress and communicate with project managers to ensure alignment with the initial estimate and adjust forecasts as necessary.
Participate in project debriefs, recording any variances between estimated and actual costs to refine future estimates.
Job cost and maintain financial reporting throughout the scope of the project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is perferred but will consider work experience of 5 years in a similar role.
Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes.
High degree of software savvy, utilizing estimating software such as Bluebeam, Plan Swift or similar software.
Proficiency in landscape software (e.g., LMN, Aspire, Service Autopilot, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
Ability to interpret and apply local building codes and regulations.
Excellent communication skills.

Salary range: $60,000 - $120,000 based on skills and experience.
